At our recent AGM of the 15th July Brian Skeates put forward a nomination for Life Membership of the Henley and Grange Swimming Club.

In Brian's words, "He joined the Club in 1994 and has been a member for 18 years.

He was an instigator of the Arks Squad in 1998 and achieved Level one  coach (bronze) status in 1998. From this time he was Assistant Coach to Glenda Edmonds. He continued in this position until the sad passing of Glenda. He then took on the position of Head Coach of ARKS from 2008. He continues Coaching; now for a total of 15 years.

He spends much of his time organising and attending swimming carnivals and  also on social outings with ARKS. He has held several positions on the Henley and Grange Committee as Nominations Officer, Chief Referee and is currently Chief Starter.

He was a willing worker when the Club established this wonderful Centre which the Club now calls home. More recently he has been Chef Extrordinaire at the Monthly Bunnings BBQ’s, raising money for the Club.

It would no surprise to all here today that this dedicated, jovial and loyal person is Garth Adamson."

Congratulations and a big thank you to Garth.
